In short
- No account, no advertising, no analytics, no third-party trackers (apart from the spam protection on the Contact page); Amazon affiliate links, with no cookie on this site.
- Fonts, images and scripts are hosted on the site itself: your browser contacts no other server while you browse it.
- The only personal data processed is what you send through the contact form.
Data controller
Pascal Devif. Contact: contact form or contact@trekarchives.com.
Contact form
Data: name, email address, subject, page concerned and message. Purpose: replying to your message and, where relevant, correcting the site. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Recipient: the publisher only; the message passes through the hosting provider's mail server. Retention: 12 months after the last exchange, then deleted. Data is never sold, transferred or used for marketing.
Spam protection: on the Contact page only, Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited) invisibly analyses the interaction with the form to tell people from bots. It receives your IP address and technical information about your browser, and may set Google cookies (Google privacy policy). Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse. No other page of the site loads this service.
Server logs
Like any web server, the hosting provider records the IP address, date and requested page for security and proper operation. These logs are used for no other purpose and kept for no more than 12 months.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no cookies (apart from the spam protection on the Contact page, see above). It only stores two preferences you choose in your browser ("local storage"): the design (Classic or Holo) and the country selected for "Where to watch". This information never leaves your device; being strictly necessary for the service you request, it requires no consent. You can clear it in your browser settings.
"Buy" buttons link to Amazon with a partner identifier in the link address: Trek Archives sets no cookie. If you click, Amazon applies its own cookie and privacy policy on its site.
If analytics or advertising using trackers were ever added, your consent would be asked first and this page updated.
External links
Linked sites (streaming, news, encyclopedias) apply their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise them: contact form or contact@trekarchives.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or the authority of your country.
Changes
This policy may change; the update date is shown at the top of the page.
